Game Lovers Grab New Nintendo Gaming Console

Nintendo has now launched Wii two days after Sony has released Play Station 3, and despite inventory that far surpassed PS3, the Wii has sold out in many stores across the country.
More than one thousand people lined up in New York City's Toys R Us for the sale of the very first Wii. The first buyer, Isaiah Triforce Johnson, had been waiting outside the store for more than a week.
Sony had launched around 400,000 units to North American stores, and Nintendo said they were shipping "five to ten" times as many Wiis. Nintendo will also have 4 million units shipped by the end of this year. The Wii will have more units available for gamers than the PS3.
The Wii cost $250, which includes one game, half of what the PS3 is selling for. The PS3 lest expensive model is around $600, with no games included.
Nintendo is using the Wii to try to attract a different type of gamer than PS3. PS3s price tag attracts the hard core gamer, while the Wii is priced much lower for less dedicated gamers, and will try to attract non-gamers with the price, and the less complicated controllers and games.
The Wii comes with a motion-censored control that gamers will move around using it as a tennis racket, golf club, sword, steering wheel, or gun depending on the game being played. This will appeal to non-gamers because of the simplicity of the control.
"That's what makes you feel in the game," said Sergio Gonzalez, 18, who has been waiting at a Los Angeles Best Buy.
Based on the price and supply of Nintendo's Wii, it should be a big hit this Christmas season. Sony might have a hard time beating Nintendo in the Game console war after this year. Microsoft's Xbox is expected to sell as well this Christmas season.
